Jared Rice '17 Recruiting Profile

I am a natural leader.  I am a hard worker both on the court and in the classroom.  I currently have a GPA of 4.14 and continually strive to do better with each semester.  I believe I am a young man of good morals and character and want more than anything to be a good example to my younger brothers and sister.  I am a firm believer in helping others, and being active in the community.  I help feed the homeless, help coach my younger brothers on their youth football teams and play an active role in my church ministries. I am very dedicated to the game of basketball.  I train year-round, and give my best at every practice or training session.  I also go above and beyond the basic training of basketball and supplement my workouts with agility training to help increase my speed, vertical and strength.  I play varsity basketball as a sophomore and also play travel AAU basketball during the school's off season.  I currently play a grade above (Varsity) in travel ball and score an average of 15 points per game with at least 8 assists.  My dream is to play at the next level in college, study hard as a Pre Med student and  become an Orthopedic Surgeon.  Ultimately, I want to give back to my community with everything that God blesses me with.
