Nikita Kochnev '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches my name is Nikita Kochnev, and from a young age, all I have dreamed about is playing college basketball. At first, I thought that the only thing that mattered was stats but the more I played and the more I learned I started to realize that I have to play basketball for the team's success not just my own. I was always the biggest kid on the court so basketball came easy but the older I got the better and bigger the other kids were, my big man skills were not as needed as before. After realizing that I need a different skill set and that I should play for team success and not my personal success I started to change my play style and work with my coach for countless hours every day to expand my skills so I can play every position. I am a very hard worker and will not stop working on my skills until I perfect them. I believe that I could be an asset to any team because of my versatile skill set and because I will put the team before me and am willing to do whatever it takes to win.
