Personal Statement

My goal is to compete in college as a All-American scholar athlete

My strengths on the basketball court can be attributed to my academic excellence and foundation to competing at a high level, due in part to my success as a Junior Olympic track athlete since I was 7 years old

  1. 2 way guard with high basketball IQ and court vision
  2. Understand spacing, fast 1st step to create my own shot, willing to find open teammates
  3. Play with high motor, a ball hawk with speed, lateral quickness, and great anticipation, that leads to game changing turnovers
  4. My coaches call on me to lockdown the opposing teams best player and I take pride in playing 94 feet

Academically, I want to major in Science, Math, and Engineering

Long term goal is to help change the world in the field of Science

  • Top 10 performer - Jimenez is a crafty and skilled combination guard that can make plays for others or create his own scoring opportunities. Jimenez had a solid showing in his team’s first showcase game, where he showed his ability to break down a defense off the dribble and the court vision to make plays when attacking the basket, as he finished with 8 points and numerous assists and rebounds. In his second showcase game, Jimenez found his groove offensively and went for 19 points, as he showed the ability to score at the basket and from the perimeter routinely and earned a spot in the Top 25 Best of the Best Game. Jimenez has solid handles, good moves to weave through the defense, the court vision to find open teammates when on the attack, and is a creative finisher around the basket. Jimenez gets good lift on his jump shot, is accurate off the catch and shoot or creating off the dribble, and rebounds well to be able to get out in the open court and make plays in transition.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
