Personal Statement
After coming back from a season ending leg injury in my junior year of high school, I came back strong in my senior year, leading my team to a league championship and to the Central Coast Section playoffs semifinals, while earning league MVP and county All-Star honors. Now, I am a sophomore at California State Polytechnic University Pomona as a member of the school's men's club basketball team, which is essentially a junior varsity team at the college level. I am striving to walk on to the varsity team at Cal Poly Pomona, and I will do whatever it takes to not only make the team, but also help the team succeed in any way I can. While this is not the most orthodox pathway to playing NCAA basketball, I believe I have the drive, motivation, and talent to play at the next level.
