Anthony Valencia '19 Recruiting Profile

As a student-athlete who values hard work and the determination to succeed in attaining my goals in the classroom and on the court, I have the strongest desire to succeed in all I attempt.  My parents have been the biggest influence in my life as both of them were student athletes at the collegiate level.  They have taught me to persevere and work to continue to get better and I will achieve success.  As a result, I have learned that there will always be someone who will challenge me to be a better version of myself and that my skills can always improve, with hard work.  My academic goals in high school include graduating with honors, and ultimately to obtain a Master's Degree in college.  

In February 2018, as  junior I reached the milestone of 1,000 points in my varsity career at MWHS.  I have been playing basketball since the 2nd grade and hope to continue in the sport I have loved since the first time I stepped on the court.  Given an opportunity, I will prove myself to be the student-athlete that you are looking for.
