Personal Statement
My goal has always been to play for a high level college basketball program and to continue learning from passionate, knowledgeable coaches. I take pride in being a good teammate and have learned to become a leader on and off the court, which is reflected in my selection to the first all conference team this season. I am a fast learner and always look to acquire new skills and tactics. My coaches say that I have a high basketball IQ and adapt to different play styles easily. I am a versatile lefty who can stretch the floor, which allows me to play positions 3-4. Academic excellence has always been a priority in my family and I continue to work hard on balancing basketball and school work.
My parents came to the US from Germany for college sports and they always tell me to work hard and stay humble. I am grateful for their experience and guidance especially during the pandemic. I used the time to work on my body, gained 30lbs and improved agility and jumping ability. I became very confident and powerful attacking the basket which has expanded my game and confident in my shots from deep outside. It would be a privilege to speak to you to determine how I can be of value to your program!
