Personal Statement
My Name is Vincas Veikalas, I am a Lithuanian American, 6’4, 190 pound, 2022 shooting guard. I take all honors, and AP classes and have 4.1 weighted gpa. I have lived in 7 countries, played in 10+, visited over 50, speak 4+ languages, and have dual passports for the USA and Lithuania.
I learned to play basketball growing up on the courts of Europe, watching my father play pro basketball in the European league. At age 5 I fell in love with the game and have been fortunate to play for some amazing coaches in many countries. We have recently returned to the USA, after my dad retired and I am looking to play basketball in college.
I pride my self on being the toughest, hardest worker on the team. No one ever out works me, and I live in the gym. I can run the floor; shoot the 3; get to the hoop; finish around the rim, rebound and defend my position. Most important I play for the name on the front of my jersey not the back.
