I hope to find a college that has a strong program with a committed team and coaching staff. I am potentially looking at a military career post college and being in a community which fosters excellent leaders would be crucial. I am an over all well - rounded team player who can dominate the boards as well as hit distance jumpers. I have pursued many other sports and competitions such as swimming and lacrosse and been very successful (finished 3rd in a 4 mile ocean swim) because of my natural athletic abilities. I have also attended leadership camps and seminars which have built me into a very positive force on and off the court. Because of my unique experience in all facets of life, I constantly bring something new and constructive to the table.

- AwardsI attended the Island School in the Bahamas in the fall of my sophomore year. It is a select program run by an ex - Navy SEAL. The goal of the program is to create upstanding young adults with a passion for conservation, education, and research. Because the classes I took there were all honors courses, and my school does not offer honors or AP, I am the only student at my school who has taken honors courses. I am also a member of the High School Leadership Group at my school. This is a select group of outstanding students who communicate between the teachers and the students.
- ActivitiesIn the summer of my sophomore year, I interned at the Duke University Marine Lab. I worked under Dr. Cindy Van Dover on her research of the deep - ocean. I was offered that position again this coming summer (2015).
