My life much like a basketball game is driven by determination, perseverance and hard work. I started playing basketball at the age of eight years old and since that first game I have given my everything to this sport which has taught me so much. Through playing with traveling teams to reaching the varsity level in high school I have learned that being an athlete requires more than just taking the ball to the hoop, maintaining high grades, balancing my school life and my family life, has given me an ability to manage my time in the most efficient way. Through out my high school career I have dedicated time and effort to growing not only as an athlete but as a socially responsible member of my community. During my community service in the off season I help better the environment that surrounds my school and home. While tutoring other athletes I have learned that patience and respect can be helpful tools to creating change within a team. I look forward to the opportunity to play college basketball and I hope to bring all my life experience to the next level of competition.
