Basketball has been my passion since before I can remember. I've dedicated myself to this sport, making countless sacrifices in order to give myself the best possible chance of fulfilling my dream of playing college basketball. I've studied the game inside and out, I've pushed myself to exhaustion, and I've set one goal after another for myself, simply because I'm obsessed with the game. As I go into my final year of high school, my senior season, I don't see my basketball career coming to a close, I see it as a new opportunity. I see it as a chance to set new goals, learn more about the game, and lead other like-minded people to success at the collegiate level.
I've surrounded myself with people such as parents, coaches and teammates who have all taught me how to have a strong work ethic and how everything is earned and not given. This has changed the way I approach everyday life, not only basketball. I take pride in my academics and everything else that is asked of me because I want to say I did my best 100 percent of the time.
As a basketball player, I play with extreme passion and heart; willing to do whatever it takes to win. I lead by example not only in games, but in practices and off the court as well. I hold myself, and my teammates to high standards of character and grit so we can play at the highest level possible.
As I move into the next chapter of my life, I look forward to finding a school that will allow me to grow not only as a basketball player but as an individual. I hope to find a college that will invest as much in me as I will in them in the classroom and on the court. I look forward to this next chapter of my life and fulfilling my childhood dream.
