Ever since I was in elementary, I took pride in everything I did. Whether it be sports, academics, or an extracurricular activity, I always worked hard to be the best I could be. It is because of that hard work that I have managed to maintain a 4.0 GPA and been a key player in many varsity sports my last few years of high school. My favorite of those sports is definitely basketball. I have worked harder to be the best in this sport than any others. It's no secret to my coaches, teammates, and the town that I work the hardest on and off the court. During both games and practice, it is my competitive nature and pride that drives me to give it all I have left. I absolutely love the sport and just couldn't stop playing it after high school. On top of wanting to play basketball in college, I plan to get a degree in mechanical engineering. Trying to do both will be very difficult but as I long as I keep up the hard work, I know I can do it.
