Personal Statement

My name is Revanth Nedurumalli, I go by Ray. I have been playing basketball since I was in fifth grade. I played 4 sports in 2 years at Howard High School. My best game there I had 30 points in 3 quarters against Atholton. I got recruited to play AAU with with Charm City Crusaders and played 15u and 16u (I played up too).

That summer I got recruited to play at Glenelg Country School that summer to play in the MIAA A conf. I Played 6th man next to 4 D1 players and finally earned a starting spot the second half of the season and playoffs. I had multiple double digit games but I developed a lot as a player thx to my coach. I played AAU with MD 3D as my primary team and Charm city as my secondary team. * That summer I had a season ending injury which left me with a severe concussion and memory loss at a tournament in NJ where I got rushed to Jersey Shore Trauma center.*

I was being recruited by Archbishop Carroll to play in the WCAC but due to transportation issues I transferred to Arundel Christian School to play in the CBAA with multiple top 25 ranked schools in MD where I averaged 16.5 points in conference. My first game back from my injury was against the former MD 4A state champs, Centennial, My stat line was 34 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 blocks, and shot 8/11 from 3 in the Win. My best conference game was against Capital Christian where I had 33 points and got an All CBAA nomination after the game. I earned a spot on Team Takeover that summer for AAU after beating out 250+ players for 3 spots in 5 tryouts. I played well in a couple tournaments but my summer was cut short due to issues with my knee.

I found out my classes at ACS weren't NCAA certified and I opted to do a post grad year at IMG with IMG Postgrad National Team while I get my diploma. The first scrimmage we played Wildwood who were coming off a 2A Florida State Championship and I had 14 points and 14 rebounds in the win. After dominating in practice I started in the first National team scrimmage against SCF. I came in 4th in IMG Dunk contest and I tore my ACL and sprained the ligaments in my knee.

This was my entire High school basketball experience in a nutshell, now let me tell you why you should recruit me. After my first near career ending injury, the doctors at the trauma center told me it would be 6-12 months before I could play again. I was getting shots up in the gym 3 weeks later. I worked out 2-3 times the entire summer and played that Centennial game 3 months later. You can call any of my coaches and ask about my work ethic. I am the most motivated player you will run into because its bigger than me. I have aspirations of playing at the highest level and showing and inspiring the kids that look like me it can be done. I don't know when I'll be able to step on the court again but I'm getting surgery this month and I will come back with a chip on shoulder.
