Personal Statement

Chris Arias |  Class of 2024 | 6’6”

NCAA  ID # 2002813797

Point Guard / Shooting Guard / Wing

For current developmental age, I have good body control, lengthy, and willing to work as a defender, play an exciting yet fundamental team style of basketball. I am a magnet for run outs, quickness allows me to generally be one of the first player down the floor after missed shots. Shooting the ball is not a problem, pull up jumpers, mid range jumpers and can also shoot the three ball.  Able to read and react to defense and make shots off screens or beat my defender off the dribble.

I have more than adequate ball-handling ability to attack the rim from the wings or top of the key. Ideal player to coach because of my unselfishness and know when to make the right kind of pass for assists. I can slash when crowded or stop and pop if the defender gives me space. I am most effective playing in an up-tempo system but can play half court and run sets, game IQ is above average.

I can play the 1 thru 3 as needed depending on team rotation and coaches request. Prefer guard / wing play and will continue to work hard and develop into an elite combo guard in the years to come.  Style of play depends on coaching preference.  With future growth and proper development, I will be tough to defend and someone opponents must account for.  Lastly, outside of basketball my downtime is spent with my family and friends.

  • Eric Hampford @eric_hampford 24 Sep 2019 I expect to see 2024 WG Chris Arias (Jacksonville, FL) really begin to put his game together over the next 12 months. A lanky prospect, he's got a nice skill set & is just waiting on physical maturity that will let him take things to a new level. #FacesOfTheFutureCamp

  • 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗠 @SpencerLPulliam 25 Sep 2019 2024 G Chris Arias (Saint Johns, FL) demonstrated noticeable improvement at #FacesOfTheFutureCamp since my last viewing (2017 @CP3NMSC - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pBv5tBILdc …). The wiry backcourt prospect has continued to stretch out & is comfortable playing a variety of perimeter roles.

  • Tai Young September 8, 2019 Since he made the trip up from Florida, it seemed like Miami City Ballers guard Chris Arias was on a mission to make the most of his trip. From our stations to full-court action his talent was evident to our staff of coaches. Aside from his solid skill level, it was consensus across the board that he deserved to be nominated as our all-motor selection. On intensity alone, his presence in our camp was felt. https://hoopseen.com/news/player/201909/hoopseen-middle-school-preview-camp-awards
