Personal Statement

Ever since I started playing basketball, I have always been told I am too "skinny,"  "short," or "small" to play, but I don't let any of those comments affect me. I will keep on working hard to achieve my dream and play basketball at the next level. I am and will keep on doing everything I can in my power to prove everyone wrong. I make sure I do everything from doing well in school to practicing and working on my game every day. Since I was 6 years old, I have been playing soccer, but 4 years ago, ever since I touched a basketball and saw how the game was played, I fell in love with it. My first two years of high school, I did not make the varsity team, and unfortunately, my school did not offer a JV team, so I trained hard until I knew that I could make the team the following year. In my current junior year, I made the team just like I trained for, so if anyone is reading this, I am only asking for a chance, a chance to prove to myself, a chance to prove that I am not too "small" to play at the next level. What makes me different from other recruits is my dedication, I am willing to work hard and push myself to achieve my goals, from a athletic level to a academic level, I am also a leader on and off the court, I encourage and push my teammates to do their best.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
