Personal Statement
To All Interested Parties, be advised that I will be prepping this year which has reclassified me as a 2020 PG.
When I go to college, basketball is huge for me but my education is first and foremost. It is crucial that I get an opportunity to play basketball at the next level while obtaining the same opportunity to get an excellent education. Through out my life, being a student-athlete has taught me a lot of life lessons that will carry me for the rest of my life. It has taught me that to succeed in school, sports and life, I have to continue to make certain sacrifices to realize my ambitions and reach my goals. When it comes to the game of basketball, I am one of the most competitive people out there. I love winning and hate losing and unfortunately I wear my emotions on my sleeve and you can recognize how much I care about winning and losing. Every game is an education in itself and my sportsmanship, posture and skillset is on display and always noticed by players, coaches and fans. I am a team oriented player and take pride in achieving success as a team rather than personal stats. With that said, I am a very positive person looking to bring the best out of myself and other people. I am always cheering on and recognizing my teammates posture and confidence, we are a family with one goal, which is to succeed!!!
Speaking specifically of my skillset, I facilitate and make my teammates better by limiting turnovers and being the coach on the floor. I possess a high basketball IQ while having a good feel for the game. What separates me is my ball handling, IQ, selflessness and my ability to score from all three levels. I am very coachable and pick-up new plays and philosophies quickly. This off season I got faster and stronger by gaining 16lbs of muscle. I'm more athletic than I appear to be and my arms are long for my height. My ball handling and vision is very good, while my shooting percentage is becoming more consistent with gym time.
