My goals of being a college athlete are similar to most, with the dreams of playing in a packed gym at the next level against high level competition. I have been playing basketball several years and have grown to love the game. I love bonding with teammates, pushing each other, and working together in order to be the best we can be. I respect my coaches and love to learn from them, and I use that passion to learn to help others better themselves by passing my knowledge onto them. My journey as a student athlete has been a depth one with many lessons to be learned. Having experienced academic ineligibility from slacking and even ineligibility do to health reasons, I have grown an understanding of what it’s like to have the game taken away which has pushed me to play the game on a high level. Working hard, pushing myself to my limits, doing more than I am capable of, and learning how to understand and adapt to my teammates are qualities that I know I bring to the table aside from my physical ability. I may not be the most decorated, the most hype, or even the flashiest player and yes I have my faults, but I do know I could be a great impact to whoever gives me that opportunity.
I plan to major in business while playing on the basketball team in college. I have been blessed to experience having your own business by working with my father and uncle who both have their own business.
