Personal Statement
My name is Warren Gray and I currently attend Georgia Gwinnett College. A small College in Gwinnett, Georgia . I’m honestly looking for a place to call home. I've been at GGC since the fall of 2019 and I currently have completed 53 semester hours toward a degree, with a respectable 3.1 grade point average. I've enrolled in each fall and spring semester since the fall of 2019 but, I have never been involved in college sports since enrolling here. I played for the club basketball team at GGC over a year ago but when COVID-19 began impacting college activities, the club team season was canceled.
The biggest detail in my life, that influenced me to be who I am today, was having the opportunity to be the captain of the basketball team my senior year of high school. This showed me the importance of being a leader, and showing my teammates what it meant to give it their all on and off the court. I became interested in basketball in 6th grade while playing for my middle school team. What made me become especially interested was the fact that this sport shaped me to be a better man in every aspect from time management , to work ethic, building patience and learning to accept failure but to always bounce back. My academic goals for college would be to get my bachelors degree in business specializing in management, then going on to obtain my masters in hopes of using my degree to become a hospital administrator. The unique skills and characteristics that I possess is the ability to lead and motivate my teammates during hard times. I am very observant and a student of the game. A quick learner and coachable as well.
I'm hoping to get a chance with any school, in hopes of having an opportunity to play collegiate basketball. I’m willing to try out or even walk on if that's a possibility.
