Personal Statement
My sophomore was a turning point for me. During the middle of my sophomore season I tore my meniscus and I was out for the rest of the season. However, this injury fueled me to do better. Our team only made it to the first round of the playoffs and I felt like I did nothing to help. My grades were always there so, that offseason I was in the gym day and night trying to get right. The next season we shocked most and made it to the elite 8 game. That experience helped me grow as a person and re-focus on the goal at hand which is becoming a solid point guard capable of playing at the collegiate level. Throughout that experience, I've learned that the value of teamwork and dedication can lead to something great. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me academically and athletically. I believe not only that I have the talent to be apart of your team but my grades, the way I conduct myself, work-ethic, and my leadership will make a great impact on your program. As a multi-sport athlete I know what it takes to be a leader on your team.
