William Travis '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Will Travis I'm from a small town in Northeast Georgia called Hiawassee. I have played basketball, football, and baseball since I can remember.  I love playing football and basket the most, but then about 3 years ago my uncle introduced me to the game of golf. I fell in love and became a natural. I made the varsity team as a freshmen, I ended up with the lowest average in the region. I have a import person in my life who I call my father.  He is my stepdad and the father to my little half brother.  He has been in my life for 6 years. He has always been a positive influence on me. Pushing me to workout, train, go to camps, and to stay focused in school and try hard to get the best possible grades I can. I am a family kid. I love my little brother he is 2 and he looks up to me already and wants to play every sport that I am playing at that time. I would rather be at home with my family than out hanging out with friends. My  favorite thing to do is watch film with my dad. No one ever watched film with me until he started filming all my games, and trying to find film on all the opponents i am going to be playing against. I really am not sure on what sport i want to play at the next level. I kind of want to play two sports if it is possible. I want to go to a college away from home, but not so far away that my family cant drive 5 hours to come to a game. I want to go to a school where I am going to fit in, and fell at home. Like I said I would rather stay in and  watch film with my teammates or workout. I enjoy going to church, so i would like to go to a college that has a church on or near campus. I am so excited for this process. I got my first letter for football from SCSU and i was so excited. I probably jumped up and ran around for hours calling everyone. Looking forward to meeting lots of great coaches and athletes.
