Ahmad Rand '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been a sports fanatic, for what feels like, all my life. I have been playing basketball since I was 8 years old. I started really taking it serious my 8th grade year and from there I haven't stopped. I am an athletic, 6'7 forward with very explosive leaping ability. Aside from my ability to finish strong around the rim, I am an exceptional shot blocker, finishing my sophomore year with 3.9 blocks per game and leading Class A in the state of Georgia. I plan to major in either criminal justice or education. After my playing days are over, I want to get involved with coaching and stay actively involved with the game. I have been faced with adversity all my life and for me, basketball is a tool to crush that adversity and make something of my self. I would be honored and humbled if I were ever given a chance to make it to the next level.
