Burke Chebuhar '20 Recruiting Profile

     Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. If given the opportunity, I am committed to playing basketball at the college level. As a young kid, I was that kid always tossing a ball and my first word was even ball. Having been on my high school’s varsity team since freshmen year, I have been named on the all region team twice. My junior year I had nineteen double doubles and one triple double while breaking my schools deflection record with 97 deflections. Even with these accomplishments, nothing tops the pride I have for my school and its basketball program. My school’s team, in the 2018-2019 season, had a twenty win season and went to the state sweet sixteen. This was the first time since 1997 that our school had twenty wins.

      Additionally, I am a lefty pitcher on one of the top travel baseball teams in the state of Georgia, but I am 100% committed to doing what it takes to play basketball at the next level. Being a two sport athlete has made me mentally tough, taught me how to compete, and made me extremely disciplined. I have the capacity to stand on the pitcher's mound delivering that strike with a full count, but also the ability to hit those game-winning foul shots. Also, I have challenged myself in school with AP and honors classes. I am confident with my discipline, work-ethic, and leadership abilities that I have the skill to play at the college level and do well academically.
