My name is Zakari Galloway and I'm one of the most hardworking basketball players you will ever meet. I am really dedicated to my craft and have a high Basketball IQ for the game. My most important accomplishments were being nominated for team captain on my club team the first year playing and starting varsity with no previous varisty experince . I have attended numerous camps as well but the most memorable would be the All-American camp I was invited to.
Knowing that I'm capable of playing college basketball gives me that much more motivation to keep pursuing my dreams. Besides my attitude and effort, I am an all around team player who will make sure to put the team first. While not the tallest or the biggest, my heart stands out the most amongst others because one thing I love to do is compete.
When it comes to narrowing down the list of schools I have considered, education is just as important to me as athletics are because I am a student athlete. While not picky about location, I want to attend a school with my chosen degree of sports management with a suburban or urban setting that has a lot of diversity. The ultimate goals is simply to find a college that fits me best. It doesn't matter about the size or name; if I can receive a good education and play basketball I will be satisfied. My top two choices for a major as stated earlier would be Sports Management or Kinesiology. However, my major may change over the course of the rest of my high school career.
My realistic athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a high competitive level while making everyone around me better because of it. Knowing at the end of the day that I made a difference and tried my hardest, would keep a smile on my face.
