My goals and aspirations are pretty simple. I endeavor to be the best person I can be at whatever I do. One of my favorite things to do is give back to the community. In all honesty though, I did not start off feeling this way. At first, I was made to volunteer by my parents, but after I did, it changed my entire perspective. Volunteering made me realize how much of an impact that I can have on others. And it gave me a great feeling inside and an increased feeling of self worth. I can honestly say that giving back has made me a better person. I think it is important to give back to the community. I realize, as an athlete, I am sort of a public figure and I feel it is important for me to set a good example for my peers and others. I am involved with my church by singing on the choir, ushering and working in the technology ministry. I also help pick up trash along the highways and beaches and help serve the needy food. In athletics, I demonstrate leadership by working hard in practice and being vocal on the court. Outside of athletics, I try to help smaller kids to learn the game of basketball. I have assisted with several baskeball camps and when I'm just hanging around in the gym and see some smaller kids playing or just dribbling or shooting around, I go over and give them a few pointers aboout fundamentals. My goal is to continue to work at obtaining a quality college education while pursuing my dream of playing on the collegiate level.
