Personal Statement
My GPA (including AP courses) is 3.82 and I'm about 6'2", 180 lbs. This season I averaged 20 ppg and was an All-State selection for the 2nd year in a row. A current season highlight film is now on my site. I've loved the game of basketball since I can remember. Playing in college has never been a maybe but instead is something I could always imagine myself doing. As a sophomore, I was all-region and led my team in scoring. The following year as a junior, I was named both all-region and all-state while leading my team in scoring and to the Final Four. I feel that I lead more by example more than vocal because I am a "gym rat" and will spend hours in the gym. I would love to go to school somewhere in the Southeast as I live in Georgia but would definitely consider elsewhere. I am open to a different varieties of schools, but ideally I am looking to get a great education and play at the highest level where I can have an impact and compete. I have not decided my major at this time but am serioiusly thinking about Sport Management. Overall, I hope to attend a university where I can have a positive effect on the team.
In addition, I have been a volunteer at the Boys' & Girls' Club of Bulloch County, the Statesboro Soup Kitchen, and basketball camps for kids. I've received my school's Citizen Award, been a member of Youth Council of Communities Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol, been selected to participate in Youth Leadership Bulloch, attend church youth group, and am the Youth of the Month of the Exchange Club of Statesboro.
