Victor Newsom '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Victor Newsom and I am a 2023 guard.  I love to compete whether it's on or off the court. My greatest achievement was when I was chosen as the only 9th grader to play  and start on the varsity team.  This is my third year playing varsity. I contribute this opportunity to being a 3 sport athlete.  My collegiate goals and aspirations are to attend a 4 year college as a successful student athlete as it prepares me to become a professional athlete.  While I am attending as an athlete, I will major in Marine Biology.  Although I understand the importance of personal achievement, I am regarded as an unselfish guard and believe in team work. It's my desire that every one shines.  I am also regarded  as the go to defensive player. If there is a will, our team will make a way with integrity. Lastly, I have learned and believe academics should be  priority for every athlete and I take it serious.  I am currently attending college at Gordon State maintaining a 3.0. I am actively seeking a basketball tryout at a college or university. Thanks
