Personal Statement

My dream was to be in the NBA and be the MVP of the league. Ever since 5th grade i had always been thinking about how i was going to get to that level. so every now a nd then i would ask my bestfriend, Neftalie, who inspired me to play basketball to help me out on my game. We would practice by playing basketball at open gyms when there is one. After each game he would tell me what i did wrong and what i should do. I would take what he said and use it when i get in the game again. When i reached my middle school year, i played with my friends. It was the best years of basketball i had. There were times when people would say i played like a high school player but just because they said that, it doesnt mean i was still good enough to be in the NBA. Also, after every basketball game my dad would tell me that i didnt do so good. I would get so mad at him but i realized that i shouldnt be getting mad at him and use what he says to me as a challenge to get better. So i kept practicing by with or without someone to help me. Sometimes i would go on youtube to check some NBA games and watch their moves. Then when i go to the park i would mimic the move. i would keep practicing that move until i got used to it. When i reached high shcool, i tried out for basketball my sophomore year. I played starting point gaurd for the JV team. It was a great season but it still wasnt the end of my journey to NBA. I had to work even harder. Everytime i would get exhausted of practicing, I would say to myself "If i cant beat a bunch of high school basketball players, how am i gonna beat NBA basketball players?" i used this as a motivation and pushed myself after every paractice and every game. Then my Junior year came, i tried out again. I made it and played starting point gaurd again. Every year try outs came, i would observe my competition and when there would be someone that wants to play the same spot as me, i would work even harder to make that person work harder too. Its a good way to make me better and make that person better too. But in the end I would make sure he dont beat me. Now that im on my last year of playing high shcool ball i have to work even harder. Nothings stopping me from reaching my goal. My goal is going to the NBA!!!
