Basketball has always been more than just a sport for me, it is a place where you can build character, friendships, and be a leader by example. The love for the sport started when I was 4 years old and it has only increased since then. In my high school year that is when I took this love for the sport very seriously and decided to be the best that I can be. Every day I wake up at 5:30 am and work on my shooting and my ball handling skills, I understand that even if you have the passion you will go nowhere without hard work and mental focus; these two things allowed me to make the switch of being a swing Sophomore player who played 2 minutes of his entire Varsity career; to being the top scorer and best 3 point shooter on the team, which led us to a district championship. I am nowhere near finished with this journey; I know that there will always be room for improvement, especially going to the next level, I am easy to coach, and I am willing to step up and be a leader when the opportunity is given to me
Volunteer work has been a part of my routine since I could remember. Every year our school is required to work 50 hours of volunteer service and 50 hours of home service
The school, which I attend, is Liberty Charter High School. This school always challenges me with Life skills. In order to sustain my high GPA, the same mentality applies to my academics, as much as my athletics, in order to achieve greatness, hard work, and mental focus needed to be the main priorities. With this mentality I want to go to a college that challenges me athletically and academically, I am open to all options of college, and I want to choose the one that I see myself grow the most
