Personal Statement
Ever since I was asked "What do you want to be when you grow up," my dream was to be, first a good person, but a future basketball player. Basketball is an extremely essential part of my life. I train for at least 2-3 hours for 6-7 days a week. I also put in extra work with a strength and conditioning coach. I believe that I'll be a great player for a Division 1 or division 2 college team because I play the game with a high IQ and I can light up the court from anywhere in a hurry.
Furthermore, I am raised in a household that preaches that education is just as important as athletics. I have a 3.6 unweighted GPA and a 3.6 GPA. My grades alone prove that I put extra effort not only in basketball, but in the classroom also. Overall, I am a reliable option for a college with an outstanding educational program and with a DI basketball team.
My mother was the captain of a handball team throughout college overseas, and my father was a foreign ambassado to the u.s. In conclusion, athleticism and leadership runs through my genes and I believe I can deliver those qualities at the college level.
