Personal Statement

My entire life I have strived  for excellence both in the classroom and on the court.  On the court I am a leader,  I play fearless and hate losing more than I enjoy winning.  I am a well-rounded point guard who shows incredible work ethic to be the most complete player possible. 

I am different than other players because I enjoy helping others and seeing others succeed as much as I enjoy my own success.  I have fallen in love with the process of skill development. When playing I fill whatever role is needed to help the team win.  Whether I have to knock down tough shots, play lock down defense or make the extra pass, I find a way to do it to help the team succeed.

In the classroom,  I am competing just as hard working as I am on the court.  I continually aim to be the best and challenge myself everyday to become a well -rounded student-athlete.

Basketball has always been a huge part of my life and my goal is continue playing while going to a school that matches my academic and athletic interests .

I attended this event and received this evaluation from the coaches in attendance: Korey Yarc, a 6'1 165 lb 2019 prospect out of North Boone HS (IL), is a quick point guard with good size. He passes well and can knock down open shots. He is tough and will get to the basket and finish. Coaches in attendance would like to see him get stronger and continue to work hard on defense. . Attended ScoutsFocus Elite 80 CHICAGO Camp on 3/26-27/2016.

Willing passer and great screener. Always in a good stance on defense. I was one of three 3 8th graders who attended the clinic, while the rest of the players were in high school.
