Personal Statement
I would like to play basketball at the NCAA D1 level; I am realistic though and know that means talent, hard work, dedication, and a lot of luck. I am going to college to major in Athletic Training and minor in Education. I also believe that stats don't always tell how a player is. I realize my average points aren't necessarily high, but that's because our whole starting 5 is averaging anywhere from 8-20 points per game. I am more of an overall all around player on my team while others are just scorers. . After I have finished school, if at all possible, I am going to try and play basketball overseas. I am a very enthusiastic, hard worker. I will put in the time to get better at whatever it is my coach wants me to work on. I try my best to be a leader on and off the floor and help lift my teammates up when they get down on themselves. I work hard academically, taking classes that will help me get into colleges, ACT prep classes, etc. I have already taken my ACT test twice. I work extra on my game by working with a trainer when I can year round. I am very passionate about the game. I release all that energy on the floor night in and night out, giving 200%, never giving in, never giving up, motivating my team to do the same. Although I am 6'3" currently, I play like I am 6'4", 6'5" due to my length, speed, and jumping ability. WING SPAN IS 77 INCHES. I believe I can compete with anyone at the highest level. I am known not only for my offense, but my biggest strength is defense; whether blocks, deflections, or steals, I change the game. I am a team player; I led my team in assists last season. I have been a varsity starter since Freshman year. Being a basketball player is not my only identity. I have many other interests.
