Personal Statement
One of the goals that I am determined to achieve after high school is to continue my education while being part of and contributing to a basketball team at the collegiate level. Each and every day I strive to perform at the highest level in the classroom and on the basketball court. In order to do so I put in the time when everybody else is not, I ignore any and all negativity that is thrown my way, thrive on classroom achievements along with team and teammate success on or off the court. I take pride in leading by example while I have become more and more comfortable adding the ability to verbalize leadership not only to younger individuals but older teammates as well.
I play with a chip on my shoulder every time I step onto the basketball court, committed and determined to do what is within my abilities in order for our team to achieve success. That same level of willingness to sacrifice and commit is who and what I desire to play for in a program at the collegiate level. At every stage of my life, with any activity or sport that I have participated and competed in, I have always proven myself as a vital piece of the organizations accomplishments. I know that if and when given the chance, my character and abilities would have a positive and immediate impact on a basketball program at any collegiate level. I am looking forward to the opportunity!!
