Tyreese Nibbs '19 Recruiting Profile

I am starting my senior basketball season at Ben Davis High School, Indianapolis, IN.  We have a new coach this year and I am excited about the potential of this season.   I am playing guard and I am in the players rotation.  I am hungry and know good things are coming.

My junior year was my first year of Varsity Basketball. I previous played freshman, and JV basketball. Last year as a team we had a good year and won sectionals and made it to the regional semi finals, but lost to would be state champs by one score.   Last year I contributed by playing my role and doing what was asked of me by my coaches. I was part of the players rotation and was able to start several games as well. Playing in our program I learned to be a team player and make the most of your opportunities.

Sports has helped me build my confidence and develop skills to maneuver over hurdles that I have faced. I am a multi-sport varsity athlete and a member of my high school show choir were I am also co- choreographer. Playing multiple sports and participating in competition show choir has helped me develop time management skills.

What makes me unique is that I use my two passions: sports and music to help me develop skills to learn and train my body and my mind. My strong work ethic has helped me excel in the classroom and on the court/field of play. Academically my goal is to graduate from High School with Honors and a GPA of 3.5 or higher then attend and graduate college. Athletically I plan to continue playing Basketball, Volleyball and Football in high school and continue my athletic career at the next level in college.   As I continue to train and develop my skills I know I am preparing myself to reach my goal of playing in college.
