The class of 2019 is only really starting to get going here in terms of recruiting but a few have found their first offers. One of the players that is a special few to have multiple offers is Indianapolis Scecina (IN) guard Manuel Brown.

Brown, a 6’0 PG who is running with Indiana Elite 2019 this summer, has really done well establishing his skill and athleticism in the last year. With Scecina, he helped lead them to a fairly successful season this past year and he was the primary ball handler and scorer for them. Now, with Indiana Elite, he’s playing with more talent and able to still impact the game each time out.

He’s a fairly good scorer as he can shoot it a bit from long range while really being able to drive into the middle of the floor and use his athleticism to finish at the rim. He’s shown on occasion that he can really elevate and finish above the rim. His ball handling is solid and he has enough speed with it that he can stay on the ball, however, being more of a scoring point guard than a distributor.

This past week, Brown picked up his second Division I offer as Texas Southern offered the Indianapolis native. That is his second offer joining IUPUI. Both are low-major programs and Brown looks to be a good fit for both programs. IUPUI values scoring at all positions and mostly at the point.

The rest of this summer could spur more offers for Brown as Indiana Elite goes out West late in July. They will first head down to Spartanburg for the Adidas Gauntlet Finals where Indiana Elite 2019 is looked at as one of the frontrunners to walk away with the Championship.
