Personal Statement
Growing up with two older, student-athlete brothers not only set a great example, but this challenged me in any sport or activity I pursued to achieve my goal and do so to the best of my ability. Throughout my high school career, I have learned I adapt well to change. For example, my school's varsity head coach resigned the week before school started and I still helped lead my team to a 20+ win season. Towards the end of this past season, I broke my arm but have recovered better than before and learned to not let fear or doubts stand in the way of me and whatever I strive to achieve. I have learned to surround myself with others that have the same goals and aspirations as myself such as succeeding in anything I attempt, working hard to see results, and not giving on something unless being forced to. For these reasons, along with success in academic areas, I find myself fit to succeed in a program that is built around hard work, effort, and winning.
