Personal Statement
My name is Colin Flowers. I am a 2016 graduate of Andrean High School in Merrillville, IN. I enrolled in Alabama State as a walk on athlete. Unfortunately, the one spot that was available was taken by a late commit. I evaluated my situation and decided to enroll at Lincoln Trail College in Robinson, Illinois. My research indicated that Lincoln Trail would give me the best opportunity to continue my role as a student athlete. After I transferred I sustained an injury to my shins. This left me sitting out the remainder of the year. Most people would have looked at this a major setback; I took that time to work on my upper body. Because I redshirted last year, I currently have three years of eligibility .
My vision is unwavering. My goals are solid! My personal goals are to obtain my bachelors degree and play basketball at the next level. I am currently maintaining a 3.0 GPA. I am searching for a good program that will benefit from a true student athlete. I am confident I possess multiple qualities which will help me become a successful college player at the four-year university level.
First, I 'm very passionate about the game and thrive on competition. Outside of faith, family and school, basketball is everything to me. My passion for the game motivates me to be the best I can be. I am fully committed to building strength and improving my skills. I owe this to my team my coach and myself.
Secondly, I am dedicated and hard worker. I will always try to out work the people around me, pushing myself and my teammates to our peak capabilities. That’s what you are guaranteed to get from Colin Flowers.
