Winning sectionals as a freshman and then not having the chance to play in regionals because of the pandemic was a learning experience that taught me how to overcome something that was out of my control. This happened again when I tore my ACL during the summer after my freshman season while playing in an AAU game. This was one of the most trying times of my life, with the pandemic and then the tear taking away the game that I love so dearly for months. I decided not to let the tear take away my entire sophomore season and worked as hard as I could to get back for the last 6 games of the year. I feel like during these 2 years is when I grew and became more mature.

I was fortunate enough to play with a lot of great teammates that taught me how to be a great teammate in my first 2 years of high school basketball. I think that is one of the most important things about a player, that is what I try to be everyday for my teammates. I try to lead by example and hold others and myself accountable for what my coach asks us to do. I make sure to keep my grades good and work very hard in the classroom as well as on the court. I believe that the classroom is just as important as the court. I also believe that I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
