My main goal at this point in my life is to get a college scholarship and getting my education payed for. Education and school is the most important thing to me. But, basketball is the thing I love doing the most. Every morning I go in before school to the high school gym and get up 250 shots or more and hit 100 threes. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday I do personal training workouts for an hour and work on my agility, quickness, and strength.
This past summer I played with two travel AAU teams. One was my current grade and another was with a 17u team while I was an incoming freshman and a 15 year old. I ran point guard for the team and even though I was not as tall and strong as the other players, I didn't turn the ball over and knocked down shots that I needed to hit. On my team my age level, I was the leading scorer and the main threat. I lead our team to two gold bracket championships.
I always push myself to work hard and be the best player I can be. I always believe in being a great teammate and creating energy for my teammates to feed off of. I always push myself through the tough times to be the best I can be, but I also do this to my teammates.
This past summer, I attended Point Guard College in Anderson, Indiana. It was a great experience for me and it changed my life completely. I learned so much about the game that I didn't know before and it changed my game.
I am the JV point guard for Delta High School in Muncie, Indiana, and I'm expected to back up the varsity point guard a earn some quality minutes as a Freshman.
If I could list some of my strengths as a player, I'd have to say one of my strongest assets is shooting the three pointer and mid range shot. I'm also very good and taking care of the ball and passing it to the right teammate at the right time. I'm also a very good teammate and leader.
What I could get better at as a basketball player is my strength and quickness, because every one can get stronger and faster.
As I mentioned earlier, my education and schoolwork is number one. I focus on my grades because I realize that if my grades aren't good enough, I can't fulfill my dreams as being a collegiate student-athlete.
Some of my career highlights from this past summer are, I scored 35 points on 9-9 from behind the arc in Indy. I also had a game where I scored 32 points on 8-9 from 3pt range in Cincinnati. But the best thing about those games is that it helped us win.
I normally lead my team in points in the middle school and AAU season. I lead my middle school team to winning the county championship for the 3rd year in a row and getting runner-up in the conference tournament.
Things that are important to me are being a good person, my family/friends and being a winner on and off the court. I want you to know if you recruit me I will work as hard as I can to help your team win!
Thanks for viewing my profile.
