Personal Statement
I am driven to perfect my game. I have a strong work ethic. I continually push myself to improve my skills.
I ran cross country in middle school and received first place for our school on all but two races. I discovered that cross country not only keeps me in shape, but also helps me to set goals for myself. Cross country is not only a competition against yourself, but also teaches you that your actions affect your team as well.
In high school, I joined soccer and have enjoyed the conditioning and the way it prepares me for the basketball season. Soccer is competitive with others, yet with yourself as well.
It is important to me to become a well rounded individual. I am a Beta Club member and active in 4-H. I own several show animals and am responsible for their care and well-being. I also go to local gyms several nights per week to practice my form, plays, and skills.
My goal is to continue to excel in academics and pursue a college degree while playing college-level basketball and compete in an NCAA tournament.
