Personal Statement
My name is Jaden Vlotman and I am a class of 2022 point guard from Auckland, New Zealand. Ever since I had started playing basketball, just like every other young hooper my dream was to have a successful basketball career. I am undersized for my age but I have never let that get to me.
The same intensity I put in for basketball is exhibited in the classroom. I want to go to university to study design and film because these are fields of study I am very passionate about.
I try to push myself to be more than an average guard and I enjoy working on things outside the comfort zone of a guard. Also, I am not the type of player to shy down from a tough matchup or get intimidated by bigger and stronger players. Also, I love playing defense, I am always ready to work on things to improve it.
The one thing that separates me from other players is my everlasting passion and my mindset of putting heart over height.
