Personal Statement
My name is Josh Watt. I am 19 years old, at a height of 6 foot and weigh 180 pounds. I am from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and play for the Mornington Breakers Men’s team.
The major goal in my life has always been to play basketball at college in America where I am not only able to play the sport I love, but gain the needed qualifications for me to pursuit my chosen career.
I am the starting point guard for my team and I see myself as a natural leader on the court even though I am the youngest on the team. I was school captain in year 6 at my primary school and year 10 and 11 house captain at my high school, having always found leadership a strong quality of mine.
I have been named team MVP for the past 2 seasons for my Junior Representative team, also being named Club Man of The Year in 2012 for my efforts put in around the club through playing, refereeing, coaching and all round team spirit. I have always looked for ways to give back to my club, so this year have taken up coaching the Under 12 Boys team where we are currently ranked 8th the state.
I have always wanted to pursuit my dreams of playing College basketball in America and i will do whatever I can to make it.
