Personal Statement

I aspire to play collegiate golf at a competitive university or college.  For me, my education is my top priority. I desire to attend a college or university that will challenge me academically, and prepare me for the future. Like my education, I am extremely passionate for golf. I've worked very hard on my game over the past years, continuing to develop and refine my swing to satisfaction. Along with golf, I also play basketball & football. Although golf is primarily considered an individual sport, I thoroughly enjoy the memories that I have made with my former teammates and will make with my future teammates.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • 45th Iowa Boys PGA Championship
  • 6/24/20 to 6/25/20
  • I shot 76(+4) the first day. I played well but had a tough time on the greens. Plenty of 3 putts. Shot 79(+7) the second day. I struggled with all facets of my game that day. It was an easy course. Did not take advantage of the opportunity.
  • Camp/Event
  • Iowa Junior Amateur Championship
  • 6/17/20 to 6/18/20
  • Shot 77(+5) first day. Shot 78(+6) the next day. Shot 34(-2) on the front nine the second day and was in contention to win it. Had a rough back nine. Big learning experience. Placed 10th out of 42.
  • Camp/Event
  • Southeast Iowa AM
  • 6/06/20 to 6/07/20
  • Par 72. Shot 82 first day and 80 second day. Had a 9 on hole 4 the first day. Struggled off the tee with 6 OB’s on the week. Didn’t play well but I competed and stayed positive.
  • Camp/Event
  • Point Guard Elite Basketball Camp
  • 6/19/17 to 6/22/17
  • This was a 4 day camp that was nonstop basketball. 8 A.M to 5 P.M everyday. I learned way more at this camp, and decided I wanted to sign up for online training at the end of this camp. Online training gives me a workout to do everyday that will roughly take me 3 hours to get done.
  • Camp/Event
  • Otter Basketball day camp
  • 4/29/17 to 4/29/17
  • I learned even more skills and things to do when I train at this camp. This camp showed that I had improved a lot since the first camp I attended. This was a 6 hour camp instead of a full day camp.
  • Camp/Event
  • Otter Basketball Shooting Camp
  • 4/29/17 to 4/29/17

  • A daylong camp that taught me knew skills and how to train properly.
