Basketball has been an obsession of mine since I was a toddler and have always enjoyed playing the game. My family and my friends have been a huge influence on me. Watching them support me in sports and being there for me, makes me feel confident and want to be successful. Knowing that I have people that care about me and that want the best for me, influences me to become the best I can and to never give up on anything that I do.
I have learned through basketball and sports, that nothing is impossible. If you put your head into it, you can accomplish anything. My will to complete and desire to never give up drives my passion toward the game. I am undersized compared to other people but was the leading rebounder this past season. I feel my size disadvantage works as an advantage when paired with my determination. I always give 100% on the court, in every situation.
My goal is to play college basketball at a school that fulfills my athletic goals, but more importantly challenges me academically. I feel driven to succeed at the next level on and off the court. Not only do I believe I can contribute on the court, but I feel that I have the mindset to be a team leader and a great locker-room presence to build the team.
