Timothy Darla '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Timothy Darla, and I am very interested in playing basketball at the collegiate level someday. I am very passionate about the game and put endless amount of hours in the gym everyday. I pride myself in getting my teammates the ball, and being a floor general type of player, and abiding by the team system and doing whatever it takes to win. I prioritize my "team first" over everything. I’m a strong shooter and is that guy you can depend on, on the floor to make shots from the 3-Point line and Mid-Range regions. I'm not super tall but I try to do everything in my capacity being the size that I am and am still getting better each and every single day. 

I've played AAU since 7th grade and have played for different teams such as Iowa Waves, Ignit, Iowa Battlers, Kingdom Hoops, All Iowa Attack, and Beyond Ball. I workout weekly and you can always find me in the gym crafting my game and trying to get better.

I have a good GPA, and doing very well, academically and want to major in Mechanical Engineering  because I have a love for Math and Science. I have taken the ACT and will plan on retaking it again to improve my score.  

 My trainers, coaches, and family have pushed me everyday to be better and all believe that I have what it takes to make it at the next level and I am willing to outwork and do whatever it takes to make my dreams a reality.
