Nitish Sankaranthi '25 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a Junior at Waukee Northwest High School and I start for my school’s Varsity team. I have the skills of a bigman as well as a guard. I can bring the ball up the court, create opportunities for others to shoot, score from anywhere inside or outside the perimeter with high accuracy, and dominate in the post. I am strong at playing defense and can guard all 5 positions. I communicate well with my teammates on and off the court. Overall, I am a coachable player that can learn from my mistakes, and I am able to figure out my weaknesses and work on them, in order to improve my game as well as help my team win. 

Off the court, I focus on academics as much as I do on basketball. I have been maintaining close to 4.0 GPA throughout my school years. In the classroom, I listen well and don’t mess around or interrupt. I am accepting of others and help my classmates whenever I get the chance. Outside of the classroom, I believe in giving back to the community, by volunteering at my school and at various non-profit organizations.
