My team has always been my second family. I have their backs 100% and they always have mine, I think that is a huge reason I love the sport. In fact, two of my teammates have become my actual family after I asked my parents if they could live with us--I knew their circumstances weren't great and they could create a better future for themselves by staying with us. That's been one of the best things that basketball has brought to my life.
I plan to study Criminal Justice in college. I want to find a school that lets me grow as a person, play the sport I love and continue to find family and camaraderie both on and off the court.
Throughout my 3 years in high school basketball, I've been to the state tournament every year. Two out of those three years, we won the whole tournament. For my senior year, I transferred out of the small school of Grand View Christian to go to one of the biggest schools in the state. I transferred for many reasons but one of my main reasons was I needed to show college coaches what I am capable of doing and I am fully confident that I can be a top player in the state and capable at playing at the highest level.
