Personal Statement
When I was 5, I developed a love for basketball in a local recreational league, and ever since then my love for the game has grown. My mom has always pushed me from day one to become a better person and player on and off the court. She has taught me life long lessons that I have implemented on the court to make me a better teammate and coachable athlete. My goal is to carry my athletic ability and work ethic to college and obtain a college degree in Business.
One of the biggest disadvantages to me, is that I come from a small town school where there isn’t as much competition as when I play AAU ball. However, this has allowed me to become the dedicated player I am today. I have broken school tournament scoring records as well as 6 of my school records. finishing off my junior with a 14-8 record, got All- League and have been honorable mention at state last year. I’m committed everyday to working hard, encouraging my teammates, and taking constructive criticism from coaches. I am looking for a college that will challenge me and take my skills to another level. I know with my work ethic and personable character, I could make a positive impact on any team given the chance.
