Personal Statement
When I played my first basketball game in the third grade I knew that I wanted to play this sport as long as I could.
Basketball has taught me to always give all I have and never quit, no matter what. In junior high most of the team quit part way through the season because of differences with the coach. It was a rough season, but I kept working hard to improve myself and be a leader on my team. This experience has made me a more focused, stronger and overall better player.
I have many valuable skills to offer a team. I am a good free throw and outside shooter. I not only shoot the ball, but I also drive and create plays. I turn the ball over very few times. I am a good offensive and defensive rebounding guard. I take pride in playing good defense. AND, I am able to remain strong academically throughout the sports season.
My goal is to continue my basketball career in college while studying to become an athletic trainer. Managing both will be a challenge, but I am confident that I have the drive and determination to succeed.
