My love of basketball started at a young age mostly due the fact that my grandma, Janet McCauley, was on the first Kansas State Women's Basketball team in 1968. This influenced me to start playing and want to continue to get my education and play at the collegiate level. I was in the 7th grade when my dad had his legs amputated. It was weird because i didn't have somebody that would be able to correct my shooting form, or play horse with. Although after his recovery he plays an active role in my basketball growth and development. Now that i am a freshman i know how to get over “roadblocks” and keep my head up and succeed no matter what is thrown at me or my team.
