As a rising Senior and a two-sport athlete (Basketball and Baseball) at Villa Madonna Academy, I am focused and determined to become the very best student-athlete I can be. As I look forward to college, I know from my parents that hard work, grit and lots of practice will prepare me well for my future in the classroom and on the court. I recently transferred from Worcester Academy, a private preparatory school in Worcester, MA, to Villa Madonna Academy in Villa Hills, KY (my dad is the President of Thomas More University). I’m confident that I will be ready to be successful at the next level.
In speaking with my parents about college, I have some goals and achievements I would like to pursue. In the classroom, I would like to receive a four-year degree and later continue my education in a graduate program, either in Business or in Law School. As for athletics, I would like to play basketball for my school and compete in a competitive conference. Playing basketball has always been fun for me and the idea of being able to play a sport that I love at the college level has always been a dream of mine.
I believe that I posses the right traits and qualities that have allowed me to develop into a strong player as well as a good student and teammate. My coaches in AAU, Worcester Academy, and Villa Madonna Academy have often commented to me and to my father that I am truly a coachable player and I am deeply committed to the programs I play for. On and off the court, I am a strong leader with strong values and deep connections to my friends and family. As a person and as a point guard, I think my ability to lead and to be a good teammate are important traits for college basketball.
My play style will fit into many college programs. I can play as a playmaker, scorer as well as a wing. I finish well inside the paint and value defense from the backcourt. I will always work hard to become better and compete for starting spots. I will work just as hard in the classroom. I am well aware that education is very important and prepares you for life. Also, I represent the true definition of a student-athlete. As a Coach, you will never have to worry about my grades or my eligibility. The balance between athletics and school is difficult to manage and I am confident that I will be able to handle the challenges that lie in the road to success.
