Stacey Anderson '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Stacey Anderson II. I am currently a rising junior at Eastern High School in Louisville, KY. My expected graduation date is June 2022. I am a 6'1 point guard whose passion is playing basketball at the next level. My grandfather and uncle played basketball at the University of Louisville in 1972-75 under the legendary Coach, Denny Crum. My goal is to play at the college level for a great coach while being able to earn a college degree. I am a hard worker and I understand that nothing great comes easy, so I understand I must put in the work to get great results. I have a outgoing personality and a great track record. I was brought up in the church and I understand that having a good Christian background is key to a very successful life and career. i am honest, trustworthy and very respectful.  I am good candidate for your program because I am eager to learn and understand there is always room for improvement. I want to be the best that I can be so I welcome constructive criticism to get me to the top. I would like to help my team win championships on and off the court. I also understand that I am a student-athlete, which means, I must perform first in the classroom to be able to perform on the court. Since I began talking, I was diagnosed as a severe stutterer but this hasn't kept me from being the best that I can be. This has taught me patience but at the same time I know that I can overcome and achieve anything. It's funny I was diagnosed as a stutterer because as a point guard for the team, I have to call out the plays. I don't stutter then, basketball has helped me build confidence both on and off the court all of my life. I am ready to take this confidence to the next level and WIN! I look forward to getting an opportunity to play for a great coach and college!
